As 2020 draws to a close we wanted to mark the shared experience of all UHDB colleagues and those who work at our hospitals on behalf of all the communities we serve during what has been a most difficult time. Everyone who works at our hospitals and community sites will have had their own unique experience of Covid-19, depending on their own health, the health of their families and the role they play at the Trust.

Whilst we’ve all experienced Covid-19 in our own way, we’ve all been in this together, each and every one of us has supported someone and in turn been supported. As a thank you Derby & Burton Hospitals Charity have been distributing goodie bags that we hope will go some way in expressing our gratitude for all your hard work.

The bags included a commemorative badge that is a token of appreciation from our communities for our collective response to Covid-19 and the many lives that have been saved during the year.

Covid-19 will be with us for some time to come, but with the year drawing to a soon, now is as good a time as any to reflect on our shared experience of 2020. Our thanks on behalf of the communities we serve for the difference you personally have made and the difference collective we have made.

Thank you and Merry Christmas.
