Fundraising In Memory Of Daniel

This year we had to do things a bit differently with our Jingle Jog but that did not stop you all rallying together and joining in to raise vital funds for your local NHS.

Some very special runners included Dave and Pam Earl, who ran the 5k in memory of their wonderful son Daniel James Earl.

“His life was cut short by a small calcified stone lodged in his main pancreatic duct. This led to 22 pseudo-aneurisms and the rupturing of a main artery. Dan was left with chronic pancreatitis, type-1 diabetes and many other life altering problems.

We would like our sponsor money to go to Derby Royal’s “step-down”, ICU and A&E teams who saved his life on many occasions as well as prolonging his life – giving us all 6 more wonderful years to share with Dan.

Who is Daniel?

A gentle giant who would do anything for anyone

A soul-mate to his wife, Lou

A brilliant daddy to Joshua and Bethan

An amazing son to us

A fantastic younger brother to Tim and Ben – and brother-in-law to Ammie and Jen

A much loved uncle to Matthew, Charlotte, Chloe and Sophie

An amazing grandson, nephew and cousin

BFF to Kev

A brilliant chef, ACF instructor and Duke of Edinburgh assessor

He may have been only 26, but he packed his life full of love, fun, mischief and giving to others

Thank you NHS – you gave us this amazing young man for 6 extra years.”

Thank you so much for sharing your story with us and raising an amazing £775. You are an inspiration.
