Air Arts Mural Nears Completion
Air Arts and Derby & Burton Hospitals Charity are excited to have started on our latest mural project covering a massive 27 metre concrete wall at the back of our emergency department.
The mural will feature a brightly coloured road map showing all the different ways in which we can access help and support through our NHS services as well as self help. The project has been designed by ED staff to help visitors make the best choices about where to find help when they need it.
The work is being done by local artist Paul Davies from ‘Off the wall’ based in Belper, and Paul has invited ED staff to join him in painting the wall during their breaks and after work.
The mural will be completed by the end of May.
It is being funded by a private company who wanted to support the hospital with an uplifting art project during the pandemic.
