Supporting Bone Health At UHDB

Bone health is often underestimated. Fractures can result from poor bone health and can carry significant problems and pain to individuals. There is a lot that can be done to reduce the risk of fractures.

Consultant Rheumatologist, Dr Michelle Hui, and the Bone Health team are working on a series of workshops to find out how much is known about bone health in the community and help provide resources to help educate everyone on the best ways to get healthy bones.

The team are asking healthcare professionals (doctors of all grades, nurses, therapists, pharmacists) to kindly spare a few minutes to complete the following questionnaire: https://forms.office.com/e/7usR2NcLGz

The team have also set up a questionnaire for the general population including non-clinical staff to complete: https://forms.office.com/e/MhC6TrmUZ5

Sports enthusiasts will also be completing a separate questionnaire.

Anyone who completes the survey will have the opportunity to be put in a draw to win £100 worth of vouchers.

The Bone Health team will be at “We Are Padel” club, at Pride Park this Saturday and Sunday, 27th and 28th May. Please contact mhui@nhs.net for more details.
