Sustainable cups donated to local hospital
Derby company, Circulayo, in partnership with Circular & Co have donated a number of reusable cups enhanced with sustainable technology to Derby and Burton Hospitals Charity for use by staffat The Royal Derby Hospital.
The cups, which were donated earlier this month, are designed to be reused but they are also interactive and can showcase the impact each cup has.
Speaking about why the company chose to donate the cups, Rachel Flinn, Director at Circulayo said, “Nurses work hard to care for our community, and we are proud to support them in a way that also cares for the planet.”
Using a mobile phone camera, staff can scan the QR code on their reusable cup to access and engage with Circulayo’s AppNostic. Staff members will be able to access a wealth of information related to sustainability awareness.
The reusable cups from Circular & Co are designed for longevity, lasting 1,000+ washes, and are made from recycled polypropylene. They are fully recyclable, supporting the circular economy.
Debbie Bostock, Charity Programme Manager at Derby and Burton Hospitals Charity, said, “We’re so thankful for the donation of the cups from Circulayo. This will make a difference to those working in our hospitals, whilst adding the concept sustainability.”
