Derby and Burton Hospitals Charity chosen as official charity partner by Derbyshire County Cricket Club
Derby and Burton Hospitals Charity is delighted to have been chosen by Derbyshire County Cricket Club as their official charity partner for an additional two seasons.
The charity, working closely with University Hospitals of Derby and Burton, remains committed to delivering Exceptional Care Together, extending its support to hospitals in Derby, Derbyshire, and Staffordshire, thereby enhancing the lives of patients in the region. Generous contributions received by the charity enable the provision of vital services that go beyond the scope of NHS funding, significantly benefiting both patients and staff.
Expressing enthusiasm for the continued partnership, Jimmy Drew, Commercial Manager at Derbyshire County Cricket Club said, “We’re delighted to extend our partnership with Derby and Burton Hospitals Charity which sees them continue as our Official Charity Partner for a further two seasons.
The Hospital Charity came on-board as an Official Partner back in 2019, and as our relationship continues to grow, we will continue to provide the Hospital Charity with the platform and opportunity to help get their name out to our partners and supporters, sharing the fantastic work the Charity does to improve the lives of thousands of people every year.
Look out for news during the season on how you can get involved to help support the Charity, by supporting the many varied fund-raising activities and events they delivery each year.”
Rachael Vowles, Head of Marketing and Stakeholder Management at Derby and Burton Hospitals Charity, said, “Our ongoing collaboration with Derbyshire County Cricket Club is very important for us, and we are truly grateful to be named as the charity partner for an additional two seasons. The unwavering support we receive from everyone at the club is instrumental in raising awareness about our mission and the positive impact we create within our hospitals. Engaging with our communities is integral to our charitable efforts, and this partnership plays a pivotal role in enabling us to share information about our impact.”
As part of their engagement work, the charity team will establish a health stand at the England vs. Pakistan Women’s match on May 23rd, coinciding with International Nurses’ Week, and on Father’s Day, June 16th, aligning with Men’s Health Week. In addition to providing information about the charity’s initiatives, health representatives will offer services such as blood pressure testing, wellbeing advice, and mental health support information.
