WIN £1000 with Derby Hospitals Charity Lottery
Derby Hospitals Charity Lottery – everybody wins!
Hospital patients in Derby have benefited from more than £60,000 worth of equipment and services, thanks to contributions to a charity lottery.
State of the art machinery, furniture and music therapy sessions for stroke patients are some of the things which have been funded through the Derby Hospitals Charity Lottery, which was set up in 2010 to raise money for wards and departments within Derby Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
The most recent purchase was a number of recliner chairs for the Maternity department, which can be used by partners wishing to stay overnight with mothers and babies.
Staff, patients, visitors and supporters are involved with the regular draw, which produces three cash winners each week. Players have the opportunity to win bumper cash prizes four times a year. The next is the Summer Star Prize of £1,000 on Thursday, 20 July.
Julie Chapman, Manager of Derby Hospitals Charity, said: “Everybody wins with our lottery. People have a chance to win cash prizes and raise funds which can be used to help transform patients’ lives. From improving access to state of the art machinery to providing simple comforts that make their stay more comfortable, all money raised through the lottery goes to supporting the people who use our hospitals and need our help.”
The Derby Hospitals Charity Lottery is open to everybody, and costs £2 per week. Visit www.andysimmons.co.uk/lottery to find out more.
