Every year, we are deeply touched by how many of you offer donations of toys and thoughtful gifts for children and families in hospitals over Christmas time.
Unfortunately this year is a very different one, which means we have to change the way we would normally welcome you all at Christmas.
To help ensure the best protection from infection for our patients, their loved ones and our hospital staff we are asking that you please don’t visit our hospitals to drop of gifts for the children.
In line with the Trust policy on visitors, we will not be arranging photos of presentations or visits around the children’s hospital as we have done in previous years.
We have set up Amazon Wish Lists for the children’s hospitals at Queens Hospital Burton and Royal Derby Hospital and ask that you support the children in this way:
Queens Hospital: http://bit.ly/QueensHospitalChildrens
Royal Derby Hospital: http://bit.ly/RDHChildrensWishList
You can also support our children’s hospital via https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/derby-childrens-hospital-charity
Please don’t worry about any patients missing out – we will ensure that EVERY patient will receive a gift from us on Christmas day in all 5 of our hospital sites.
If you’d still like to contribute to us at Christmas, please consider making a gift at www.dbhc.org.uk. Your support could make someone’s Christmas, extra magical.
