Books Donated By Generous UHDB Team Member

Thank you so much to Author, Jacqueline Theodosi for donating books to the Children’s Hospitals at Queens and the Derby Royal.

Jacqueline, also a Clinical Photographer for UHDB, was inspired to write by her own children, “Since I was a teen, I had always loved the idea of publishing a book. I have been writing on and off for years, starting and stopping stories, but in 2021, I was inspired by reading to my own children to start writing children’s picture books. At the time, my son was 4 years old, and I was pregnant with my daughter. My son loved dinosaurs, as I know many others do, and this inspired me to write something educational but fun about dinosaurs. Once I finished writing, I approached a publisher and illustrator and within 9 months, my book was published and available to purchase.

Seeing children with my book, is an amazing feeling and it is why I want to write and publish more books for children to enjoy.

Being able to donate my book to my local hospital means so much to me. Not only was I also born at Burton Queens Hospital but so were both my children. It also means a lot being able to donate to children’s A&E at Royal Derby Hospital as my daughter was admitted at 3 weeks old with a bad case of bronchiolitis and the staff on A&E, as well as Dolphin ward and PCCU, really looked after us and supported my family throughout the week we were in hospital.”

If you would like to purchase the book you can do so at Dinosaurs: 1 (When I Grow Up) : Theodosi, Jacqueline, Barbara, Abbie: Amazon.co.uk: Books
