Colin and his family, achieve more success in raising funds for the Nightingale Macmillan Unit
Derby man, Colin Attenborough has raised an additional £900, for the Nightingale Macmillan Unit, with the help of his friends and family.
Colin, who is chairman of the The Friends of Sinfin Moor Park, a dedicated local community group in Derby, had previously raised and donated over £1300 to the unit. This latest donation was raised through a bingo bonanza, organised by Colin’s Granddaughter, Nichola Colins and held at the Brookfield in Barrow on Trent.
Jill Matthews, Chief Officer at the Derby and Burton Hospitals Charity, said, “Colin is a real inspiration and we are very grateful to him, his friends and family for raising even more funds for the Nightingale Macmillan Unit. Every penny will go to the unit, which provides specialised palliative care to patients with progressive illnesses, including Cancer, offering comfort and support in their time of need. Colin should be very proud of how his fundraising is making a tangible difference in the lives of those in need.”
