World Cancer Day
Each year, we contribute funding to essential cancer support initiatives across our hospitals. From backing support groups for individuals facing Prostate Cancer to providing bereavement support, cutting-edge equipment, and additional nursing assistance, we champion and contribute to remarkable projects – all made possible through the kindness and generosity of our supporters.
Whether you wish to honor a loved one’s memory or express gratitude for the exceptional care received from our teams, you have the opportunity to support a specific department. There are various ways you can actively participate in supporting our hospitals.
Explore some ideas below to find the perfect way to get involved.
Take part in one of our charity fundraisings events
We have a whole host of events you can get involved in – there’s our Derby Cathedral Abseil and Charity Skydive for those who like an adrenaline-filled challenge, or for those who prefer to keep their feet on the ground, how about taking on one of our running events?
Hold a coffee morning or tea party
A great way to get friends, family, colleagues, or your community group together for a cuppa and a chat and raise money for your local hospital charity at the same time. Don’t forget to let us know about your coffee morning plans, by completing this form, so we can offer some handy tips before the big day.
Brave the shave
Whether it’s your head or your beard, brave the shave and raise funds for your local hospital charity at the same time! You can set up an online JustGiving page to raise funds and invite family and friends along to the big shave – perhaps you can even persuade a loved one or colleague to take part alongside you!
Donate
You can donate online at any time – whether it’s in memory of a loved one, or a way of saying thank you to the NHS for the care shown to you or your family member or friend, you can be sure your gift will make a huge difference to other patients across our hospitals.
