If you’re struggling for fundraising ideas, we have put together some ideas that you may like.
Auctions, art shows, abseiling. Or why not try a scrummy Afternoon tea?
BBQs to bake sales, Bonfire Night party’s and bingo nights– invite family and friends and ask for a tasty cakes to sell or for the winter months try a Bonfire Night party.
Coffee mornings, car boot sales, concerts, cycling challenges– Car boot sales are a great way to have a spring clean and raise money for a fantastic cause, or why not take on a cycling challenge and get fit?
Dress down day, Disco –Why not encourage the local school to join in with a non-uniform day? Or dust of those platform shoes and put on a disco?
Easter egg hunt or an Easter themed part– hide some chocolate eggs and charge friends and family to hunt for them. Be inventive with your hiding; try leaving cryptic clues to where another egg is hidden. Everyone loves a challenge, especially where chocolate is involved.
Film nights, fun runs and football – invite your friends round for a film night and ask for a donation. From Disney to Horror, there are lots of themes you can choose from. Or for the more active people amongst us – try taking part in a fun run; try our Jingle Jog or a local run in the summer.
Give it up – Why not give up something to raise money? Whether it be smoking, swearing or sweets – get sponsored to give it up for a set period – or ask people to sponsor you per day.
Head shaving, Halloween parties, and hiking – could you brave the shave for charity? Or why not take on a hiking challenge?
Indulgence evening – enjoy an evening of indulgence and pampering with your family and friends
Jumble Sale, Jazz nights, Jewellery making – use your local village hall and invite the local community to attend. Or have a craft session and make some lovely jewellery to sell!
Karaoke, Knitting, Keep fit, – ask a local bar to help you out and then invite friends, family and colleagues to sing their heart out to their favourite song. Or why not put on a group exercise class and charge entry?
Lottery – Join Derby Hospitals Charity Lottery.
Marathons – Take part in a marathon or a mini marathon
Night at the races – host a Race Night, where people can buy tickets to attend and companies can sponsor races.
Office Olympics, Obstacle courses, Open Garden days – Challenge your colleagues to office Olympics or why not sign up to one of the many muddy obstacle courses around the UK!
Pet shows, Pancake races, Plant sales and more! – Everyone likes to show off their dog or cat, why not try alternative rounds for example waggiest tail or cutest cat?
Quizzes – pub quizzes are very popular and never get old.
Raffles – you can’t beat a classic raffle!
Skydives, swimming, sponsored silence, super hero days – Are you brave enough to take on a Skydive for charity? Or for a tamer option, why not come to work dressed as super hero for the day? You could even have hero themed games and snacks!
Treasure Hunt, talent shows, tombola’s – all you need to do is devise some cunning clues for how people can get their hands on the prize.
Unwanted presents – sell your unwanted presents and donate the money.
Valentine’s party, vintage fairs – host a valentine’s party and bake valentine’s themed goodies to sell for donations.
Walks, Waxing – Check out our events page for details on our sponsored walks. Or for something a bit more extreme, maybe you could brave a chest wax for charity?
Xmas presents wrap – wrap up our colleagues’ Christmas presents in exchange for cash.
Yoga Marathon, Yorkshire three peaks challenge, – get as many people as possible to take part and get sponsored to do yoga for a day.
Zumba, zip wires – Zumba is a fun filled way to exercise and is a great way to fundraise. Get a group of friends together and boogie on down! Want something with a bit more adrenaline? Take on a zip wire challenge. There are hundreds around the country!
