National Forest Adventure Farm Raises £3,100 for Hospital Charity

Staff and visitors to the National Forest Adventure Farm, Burton on Trent, have raised a fantastic £3,100 for Burton Hospitals in a year of fundraising activities. Staff held a quiz night, race night and also a 101km, 5 day sponsored walk.  Also a summer charity Twilight Maize Maze saw Farm visitors experiencing the maze as the sun went down.

Tom Robinson, Director National Forest Adventure Farm, was happy to support such a brilliant cause, “We’re delighted to have raised so much for such a worthwhile charity.  Unfortunately members of staff at the Farm have been treated or had family treated at Queen’s Hospital for serious conditions on the past few years and we wanted a way to show our appreciation to the NHS and Burton Hospitals.”

Brilliant support from local businesses is a vital part of the charity and we could not help make patients lives better without them! Chris Maddox, Community & Corporate Partnerships Manager, Derby & Burton Hospitals Charity said, “We are incredibly lucky to have had such amazing support from Tom and the team at the National Forest Adventure Farm, their continued support throughout 2018 has been greatly appreciated. We would also like to take this time to thank all of their visitors that made donations through donation tins that were scattered around the farm.”

Big thanks to such an amazing team of fundraisers! We hope to work with you even more in 2019.
