Local Business Raises Breast Cancer Awareness

Daikrajai Lanna Fine Teas donated a box full of delicious speciality teas to the Burton Breast Care Unit.

There are 5 different flavours to choose from and all the money raised will go to the unit and their support group.

Owner, John Wombell, began fundraising to help fight breast canc

er after tragically losing his sister to the disease, “My younger sister, Carole Ann, lost her battle with breast cancer in 2014, only months before her 52nd birthday. She was much too young.”

Just before her passing, Carole Ann posted some warning signs of Breast Cancer on her Facebook page. John now hopes that in sharing the image, it will help other women detect warning signs early, “Every sale gives us a chance to share those warning signs…so other women will know before it is too late. Maybe we cannot change the world, but we can definitely influence our own little corner of it.”
