Please email uhdb.charityfundraising@nhs.net if you would like to enquire about availability.\nDate: Saturday\, 16th May 2026 \nLocation: Langar Airfield\, Harby Road\, Langar\, Nottingham\, NG13 9HY \n\nRegistration – £60\nMinimum sponsorship required – £400\n\nFor more information about the event or to discuss fundraising requirements\, please call 01332 788861 or email uhdb.charityfundraising@nhs.net.  \nAbout the event\nTake a leap of faith and feed the thrill-seeker hiding within\, by taking part in a charity tandem skydive for Derby & Burton Hospitals Charity. \nFor many\, skydiving is a once in a lifetime experience\, giving you the chance to freefall 10\,000ft and reach speeds of up to 120mph. \n\nImportant information \nPlease note that for tandem skydives there is a MAXIMUM WEIGHT (fully clothed) of 95 kg (15 stone) or 83 kg (13 stone) if you are less than 163cm (5ft 4in). This limit is in place for your own safety and that of our instructors. \nFor a tandem skydive in the UK you must be a minimum age of 16. Anybody who is under 18 years old will need a parent or guardian who can also sign the forms. \nWhat’s included? \nWhen you take part in the tandem skydive for Derby & Burton Hospitals Charity\, we will be with you every step of the way to help with your fundraising.  You will receive: \n\nA full safety briefing\nFundraising support from a dedicated member of the Derby & Burton Hospitals Charity Team.  They will help you reach your fundraising goals and provide you with all the support and advice you may need to help you spread the word about your fantastic challenge\nA FREE supporting Derby & Burton Hospitals Charity T-shirt\n\nWhat does it cost?  \n\nRegistration costs only £60 per person\nMinimum sponsorship (excluding gift aid) is £400\nOptional professional video and photo packages are available to purchase on the day subject to an additional cost\n\nFrequently asked questions \nAre spectators allowed to attend?  Yes\, absolutely. There is a large spectator area at Skydive Langar along with picnic benches.  They are situated in an ideal location so your friends and family can watch you in action and cheer you on. There is also a café onsite where you can purchase food and drinks. \nWhat should I wear when I complete my skydive? Please ensure that your wear clothes that are comfortable and something that you can move around in easily. If it’s a cold day\, you should wrap up warm and bring a pair of gloves to wear. \nWhat happens if the weather is too bad to skydive? In accordance with British Skydiving Regulations\, we must operate within strict safety limits with regards to cloud cover and wind speeds.  If the weather is deemed unsuitable for your tandem skydiving\, you will be given the opportunity to re-schedule your booking for another time\, at your convenience. \nShould I eat before the jump? Absolutely\, please do eat as normal. We always advise participants to eat before they jump. Adrenaline does not like empty stomachs! \nWill I receive any training before I jump? Yes\, you will receive a full safety briefing with an instructor before you jump. They will cover all aspects of the skydive with you including\, the equipment and what to expect. This can take approximately 10 – 15 minutes.

It was organised by Run For All for the first time in 2018. \nThis race has proved to be an extremely popular addition to Run For All’s events calendar\, attracting thousands of runners and raising loads of cash for good causes. \nThe event will be bigger and better than ever. The exciting new route starts and finishes in Iron Gate close to Derby Cathedral and takes in Pride Park Stadium\, Alvaston Park and the stunning scenery of Elvaston Castle Country Park. \nThe course is fast and flat.
