The idea is simple. Dream up a Captain Tom 100 challenge based around the number 100 and do it at anytime, anywhere, from Friday 30 April through to Bank Holiday Monday 3 May.
Through Captain Tom 100, we’re aiming to offer everyone – whatever their age or ability – the chance to raise funds for Derby & Burton Hospitals Charity, while celebrating Captain Tom’s generosity of spirit, the joy he brought to millions, and his sense of fun.
Here’s what we’d like you to do:
1. Decide on your Captain Tom 100 challenge.
2. As a school or individually, fundraise or donate to Derby & Burton Hospitals Charity by setting up a page at www.bit.ly/CaptainTomDBHC
3. Complete your 100 and share photos or video on social media, using #CaptainTom100 and don’t forget to tag us! Twitter @hospitalcharity Facebook @DerbyBurtonHospitalsCharity and Instagram @derbyburtonhospitalscharity
To help you get the message out to around the school, we’ve created resources to bring Captain Tom 100 to life, including colouring sheets and posters that can be downloaded at www.captaintom100.com/organisations.html
Thank you for your support. Together we can ensure Captain’s Tom’s message of hope – “Tomorrow will be a good day” –becomes an enduring legacy, uniting people all over the world and inspiring a new generation of Captain Toms.
